Service statement
I love to do service whenever an opportunity arises. Anonymously, I am on a bigger scale of service as a Senior Member IEEE, and member of several technical affiliations by reviewing journal papers and project proposals and grants. But beginning at home, I recently served on the Faculty search committee skimming through the piles of résumés in order to bring to our school the best assets possible. I am on Library committee and at times helped a minuscule bit in collection development, at least in the research area known to me. I have supervised undergraduate research theses and senior design projects. I plan to contribute to the new laboratories in the Research and Economic Development Center (REDC). As a faculty advisor, I provide help to 22 student advisees in the form of course scheduling and mentoring. I realize that I need to improve the service part of my dossier as it applies to the school. I will seek the welcome of my Director for nomination into broader opportunities to actively serve my School, College and the University.
