Student Organizations

At Penn State Erie, students have a variety of opportunties to join students organization related to studies in the School of Business. These include an:

In addition, there is a chapter of Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity, and a chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, a national honor society in business, management, and administration.

Student clubs provide an opportunity to associate with other students who share common career interests and organize programs relating to career and professional interests. Many times club meetings will allow members to discuss career-related topics with invited guests from the business community and faculty. Active participation in club activities can help develop valuable organizational and leadership skills.

  • Robert Riech, former Secretary of Labor, speaks to Economics students and faculty.

 

  • Mr. John Petersen spoke before Accounting, Finance, and Economics Club members on Thursday, October 14.

Mr. Petersen is the former President and CEO of Erie Insurance Group. During his career, he has had extensive experience managing Erie's investment portfolio.

 

  • Mr. Bruce Gray spoke before Accounting, Finance, and Economics Club members on Thursday, October 21.

Bruce is a Senior Vice President and Senior Risk Officer with Bank of America with over 23 years of banking experience. Bruce currently provides credit support for Bank of America's lending to medium-sized businesses in New Jersey. He is currently responsible for loan portfolios with over $800 million dollars in exposure. Bruce, a western Pennsylvania native and Behrend gaduate, started his banking career on Wall Street through a PSU connection.
